Senior Software Engineers

Lightstorm seeks highly motivated and experienced engineers to work on device-driver and communications protocol stacks to complement our Silicon product suite

Requirements:

• 5-7 years experience in embedded real-time software development
• Strong degree-level qualification
• Either Linux device driver or real-time embedded software development using cross-development platforms (e.g.PPC/ARM/MIPS)
• First hand experience with system-level software including interrupts, exception handling, system boot-strap
• Demonstrable understanding of hardware/software interface issues
• Excellent C programming skills
• Excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills

Desirable:

• Knowledge of networking/telecommunications applications and protocols (Ethernet, Layer-2 switching, QoS, SONET etc)
• Experience with hardware/software co-design and verification
• Exposure to scripting environments such as Tcl/Perl
