Board of DirectorsGerard Moore, Chairman of the BoardGerard was founder, CEO and majority shareholder of Spectel from 1997 to 2004. He sold Spectel to Avaya in 2004 for over $100m. Over that period, Spectel grew organically and by acquisition from 10 to over 240 employees becoming the leading provider of voice and web based conferencing equipment. Since then, Gerard has been active advising and investing in a number of technology companies, assisting them grow through entering new markets and by acquisition. Gerard holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University College Dublin, a Master of Engineering degree from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from University College Dublin. Bryan CampbellBryan Campbell is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Lightstorm Networks, and he has a track record of successful innovation and product delivery with both start-up and established technology companies. He was Vice-President, Engineering and co-founder of Toucan Technology, where responsibilities included all technical strategy and engineering development in the company. When Toucan was acquired by PMC-Sierra, Campbell became responsible for engineering management of the two design centers in Ireland. Prior to co-founding Toucan Technology, he spent ten years in senior engineering and management positions with Digital Equipment Corporation. He received his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from University College, Cork and an M.Eng.Sc. from University College, Dublin. Dave NewmanDave Newman is an independent director and early advisor to Lightstorm. In addition, he is currently on the Board of Directors for Vyatta and Cswitch. He previously led investments in Pathscale, Redline Networks and SiLutia, all of which have been acquired by public companies. Newman spent most of his career in the computer and networking industries at Rapid City, FORE and Alantec. Newman previously spent nine years at Digital Equipment Corp and began his career in wafer fabrication at Fairchild Semiconductor. He has a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University, an M.S. in Physics from the University of Connecticut and a B.S in Physics from City College of New York. John TraceyJohn Tracey is the CEO of Trinity Venture Capital. He previously worked in the semiconductor industry and in management consulting. In 1989, Tracey joined ICC Venture Capital, where he was Investment Director. He was appointed CEO of Trinity when it was established in September 1997. He currently represents Trinity on the Boards of Norkom and Valista and he holds bachelors and masters degrees in engineering. Frank KennyFrank Kenny founded Delta Partners in 1994, having previously worked in the venture capital industry with Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co. in Boston from 1983 to 1993. He was on the Board of many private technology companies in the U.S.. and was on two NASDAQ BoardsAbacus Direct Corporation and Vivid Technologies Inc.from 1989 to 1999. Kenny currently serves on a number of other private Boards, including Advanced Surgical Concepts, Kelvinside, Qumas AGI Therapeutics and Neurocure. He has a B. Comm. and M. Econ. Sc. from University College Dublin and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Conor McNamaraConor McNamara joined the board of Lightstorm in 2007. He is an experienced financial professional and has spent the past 15 years in various senior financial positions. He trained as a chartered accountant in Dublin, Ireland with Mazars, the International Accounting & Consulting Group. During this time he worked on varied financial, auditing and international consultancy engagements. He has also held senior financial positions in financial services with ING Furman Selz Financial Services and in life sciences with Boston Scientific Corporation. He also spent a number of years as VP of Finance and Administration with an indigenous Irish start-up in the software development sector. In January 2007, he joined the Western Development Commission (WDC), an Irish statutory body established to promote, foster and encourage economic and social development in the western region of Ireland. He is a business graduate from the University of Limerick and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He represents the WDC Investment Fund on the Board of Lightstorm. |
